– “Lessons learned from open sourcing my Rails 5 real-estate website builder”
WordPress has become the dominant tool for creating real-estate websites. This is far from ideal for RoR developers looking to find a more complete, maintainable solution for such projects.
PropertyWebBuilder was created to address a glaring gap in the Rails ecosystem: the lack of an open source project for this kind of websites. This talk will focus both in the technical aspect and some “soft skills”: managing contributions, new features, backers, sponsors, licenses…
